Day 57: Florence, Italy
On my first full day in Florence, I woke up and decided to walk over to the Accademia Gallery. It’s a small museum that’s most famous for housing Michelangelo’s David sculpture.
I was able to buy a ticket at the door and walk right in. The sculpture is a LOT bigger than I had thought it’d be and you could walk around it to observe Michelangelo’s work from every angle.
I walked around and visited the rest of the museum before wandering around Florence for a bit and grabbing some gelato.
Afterwards, I headed back to the Airbnb for a much-needed nap. I had originally planned to go out, but decided I’d skip it with a day trip planned for the next day.
