Day 61: Florence to Rome

I had to check out of the Airbnb by 10am and my train wasn’t until 11:48am. I decided to head straight to the train station after leaving since I was pretty tired. I also had to wheel all of my luggage over the cobblestone streets for a mile and wanted to get it over with as soon as I could.

Once I arrived at the train station, I got some orange juice and a croissant from the cafe and hungout before it was time to leave.

The train to Rome was only an hour and half and I slept most of the way. After arriving at Roma Termini, I took the Metro to the Airbnb. It was a short 15-minute ride and a quick walk from the station.

I decided to unpack when I arrived since I’d be staying for 10 nights. I also had a load of laundry to do. Then, I took a long nap before heading to the grocery store to stock up on food.

Travel days were always exciting because it meant I’d be arriving in a new city, but they were exhausting since most of the travel occurred during my “sleeping hours.” I was happy that this was my last travel day of the trip and thankful for everything that I had experienced.
