Goodbye FIDM
It's official. I've graduated college and am in possession of an Associate's Degree in Social Media Marketing. The past year and a half has been quite the journey. Though FIDM was a less than satisfactory experience for me, I'm thankful for my life here in Los Angeles. I've been able to create lifelong memories and friendships.
I'm a firm believer in the idea that everything happens for a reason. While the school was nothing like I'd expected it to be, I should've seen it coming. I don't regret my decision to attend, however I do wish that I had done more research on the school. I struggled immensely with multiple layers; including how the school was run and the intelligence of fellow students. I'm going to fully elaborate in the future once certain things are taken care of. I have over one thousand words written on the subject. Once I'm able to, I'll click that publish button.
I am so incredibly grateful that I've had such a solid support system. I've mentioned this before and I'll say it again - finding genuine people in Los Angeles is really hard. To all the people in my life who have dealt with my complaints about group projects and basic fundamental skills that others lack, the constant rants about various political + environmental + social topics and my need to always try and reach an unattainable perfection, I thank you. You've made my life exponentially better.
I'm excited to see what the future brings. I'm not sure where my life is headed next (other than Arizona for Spring Training this Thursday), but I know that I'm mentally in a great place and ready to tackle anything thrown my way. 2017 is about to get really interesting and I can't wait to share it all with you.
