Check out was at 10am so I slept for around two hours before getting up to pack my things and head out. The trip to Berlin was about 7.5 hours and I had to transfer trains around halfway through.
I ended up taking an Uber to the train station because I didn’t want to deal with public transport, especially with all of my stuff. This trip has made me realize that the backpacking thing is ideal since wheeling my luggage around everywhere is not that fun. Especially with all of the cobblestone streets where I have to drag the bag instead of rolling it in front of me.
During this travel day, I made sure to stop at the restaurant car. The train was pretty full and I noticed a lot of people brought their own food, but a fair amount of people ordered drinks and snacks as well.
We arrived in Berlin at around 6:30pm and I took an Uber to the hostel. It was way earlier than my arrival in Vienna, but I wanted to get to the hostel with all of my stuff without the hassle of public transport.
After checking in, I headed to a vegan restaurant called Quy Nguyen. I got fresh rolls and spicy coconut noodle soup. On my walk over, I noticed that there were tons of vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the area. I was going to have plenty of options to choose from.
I headed back to the hostel after eating and laid low for the rest of the night. It had been a busy day.
