Since I’d been to Paris before, I figured I’d check some things that I’d missed the first time around. I took the train to the Arc de Triomphe first since I’d only seen it from a car at night the previous time.
I also decided to check out a new museum instead of the Louvre and decided on the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. It was small, but had tons of his sketches and a short film that showcased his journey as a designer.
After the museum, I walked to the Pont Alexandre III bridge which had a beautiful view of the city.
I walked across the bridge and to a cafe that I’d seen on Instagram since it had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. I ended up getting the best seat. I ordered the avocado toast and some tea.
I walked over to the Eiffel Tower as the sun was setting, just to catch a closer glimpse before heading back to the apartment. I didn’t have work so I planned to go out, but wanted to take a nap.
I got up at around 11pm, thinking it was too late to go out before realizing that everything stayed open until 5am or 6am. I caught the last train of the night just before 1am and headed to Bastille since I’d decided to go to the same street we went to in 2020.
It was full of bars and clubs, close enough that you could easily hop from one to the other the entire night. I went to three different spots before landing on a club for the rest of the evening. The good thing about my work schedule was that I could stay out until closing without feeling tired at all.
I stayed until around 5:30am and then headed back to the apartment. There was a train strike on Friday, so I ended up just taking an Uber. I’m glad that I got over my going to the bars and clubs alone stress because now I was ready to fully experience the nightlife in Europe on my own.
