I woke up at 9am after around two hours of sleep because I had to check out of the Airbnb at 10am. Once I checked out, I walked down the road with my luggage to get to the bus stop. Even though I was going downhill, it was a slight hassle and I couldn’t believe that I had managed to wheel everything up the hill when I first arrived.
It was going to be another long travel day. I took the SITA bus from Positano to Sorrento, then caught the train from Sorrento to Naples. From there, I headed to Venice but I had to switch trains in Rome. I took a nap on the train from Naples to Rome and slept most of the way from Rome to Venice.
I arrived in Venice at around 5:30pm and luckily it was a short walk to the hostel because it was COLD. I was able to check in right away and went straight to my room. I had decided to book a private room this time around because it wasn’t too pricey and I wanted my own space. The hostel had a lot of fun mirrors, so of course I had to take some mirror selfies.
After dropping my things off, I went to get food because I hadn’t eaten much all day. I went to a restaurant called Da Michele Pizza e Ristò and got a gnocchi dish with vegetables. I also ordered a pizza for my dinner later that night while I worked.
I took a shower when I got back to the room and then a quick nap before starting work. I ended up staying in my room the whole night since I didn’t need to worry about other people sleeping like I would’ve had to if I was sharing a room.
It was a long day but I was excited to be in a new city with new things to explore.
