My best friend and I traveled from Los Angeles, California to Honolulu, Hawaii for a week and I thought that I'd detail our whole trip here. I had an amazing time, and I can definitely see myself visiting again. There are so many things still waiting to be explored, and I cannot wait to see where my next adventure takes me.

Everyone knows that I love baseball and I feel like that is fairly obvious. However, there is one thing about baseball that I strongly dislike. You might be thinking, "Oh, here she goes again talking about her reasons to not like the Dodgers...", but that is not what I am here to discuss today. Instead, I'd like to express my opinions on why I'm not a fan of the designated hitter, also known as the DH

Another year, another trip to Spring Training in Arizona. It's hard to believe that this was our third time watching preseason baseball in the desert. I feel like we were just there for the first time, fresh off the Greyhound bus from Los Angeles. Every single year, we learn something new about attending these games, so I thought that I'd share a tip that I've picked up over the past few years, as well as write a little recap of my trip.

Another year has come to an end, wait what?! It seems like this past year has gone by quicker than most. Maybe this is due to the fact that I'm getting older, or maybe I was busier this year so it seemed like I had less time, but wow I cannot believe it's about to be January again. I feel like it was just last week that I was writing about my best moments of 2016. It's been one crazy year, and I wanted to share a few of my favorite memories.

Read moreWhy Sports + Politics Need To Be A More Prevalent Combination Than Ever Before
We need the sports world to continue to engage in politics. We need athletes and coaches to use their presence to better educate people and spread awareness. The division that the president is trying to create is unacceptable, and having athletes from across the board come together creates a force to be reckoned with. In the past 24 hours, players from the NFL, NBA, and MLB have all united on a much deeper level than just being professional athletes.

Okay okay, I know. It's been a long time since I last posted something. In fact, it's been over one month. That's the longest I've gone since starting this blog and I sincerely apologize. Excuses aside, it feels good to be writing again and since this is the first you've heard from me in awhile, I thought I'd just post a little personal update/rant about my life.

Last weekend, I traveled to Seattle, Washington for three days/two nights thanks to the generosity of Alaska Airlines. The main purpose of this trip was to write a review of Safeco Field for my 30 Before 30 series. If you haven't read the review, you can check that out here: Safeco Field. In addition to my baseball adventure, I thought I'd share some of the other things that we experienced.

There are a lot of jokes about living in Los Angeles. The Instagram account @OverheardLA posts text images with quotes of actual overheard conversations had in this city. While some of these show how superficial others can be, there's also a lot of humor in the eating and lifestyle habits of the people who live here. This is one of my favorite Instagram accounts because it's scarily accurate in depicting life in LA. I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite posts so far. Enjoy!
Read moreAn Honest Review of FIDM
From an outsider’s perspective, FIDM seems perfect, but choosing to attend the school is a terrible decision. For anyone who is even thinking of attending the school, save your money and go elsewhere. You will be able to make it without the help, or lack thereof, from the school. You don’t need their $70,000, two-year degree to be successful.

Today at 3:30 pm, hundreds of college graduates will convene at the Staples Center. A few hours later, they will walk across that stage and accept their diploma. My name will be on that program, but I won't be there. That's right. I am not going to my graduation. There are quite a few different reasons for this, and I will be discussing them in this post.

Over the weekend, I attended the LA Pride #ResistMarch in West Hollywood. In that crowd of people, I felt the safest that I've ever felt in Los Angeles. That same feeling was also present during the Women's March. There's something about being surrounded by others who truly believe in equality that creates an incredible atmosphere. Rather than being judged, everyone feels that they can be themselves and be accepted for who they are.

We only get one planet in this lifetime, so it’s important to keep it healthy.

I'm an extremely organized and polished person. I know what I want and I know what it takes to get it. I manifest just about everything that I put my mind to. I live in Los Angeles, California. It is one of the most diverse cities – with people from all over the world. It’s commonly described as a melting pot of diversity. I grew up in Sonoma County which is in the Bay Area. It’s located about an hour north of San Francisco. Everyone was very accepting back home and I thought I'd feel the same way about Los Angeles. When I moved here, the last thing I expected was to feel uncomfortable with who I am.
